Latin America And Caribbean Awards, University Of North Florida USA 2022

The Latin America and Caribbean awards Program is now opened to applicants from Latin America And Caribbean in the University Of North Florida, USA for the academic session 2021-22 and would be towards the tuition fee. The scholarship is admissible for Undergraduate degree programs in the field of All Courses taught at University of North Florida, USA and The determination process is profoundly serious and grants are limited. The deadline for the scholarship is Open.

Scholarship Benefits:

The Latin America And Caribbean Awards will be a minimum of $500 for the qualified applicants. The applicants would be classified as Florida resident for tuition purposes and the award would be given in each Fall and Spring semester.

Eligible Nationalities:

  • The Applicants needs to be a citizen of one of the countries of Latin America or Caribbean:

Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curacao & Bonaire, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Montserrat, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Turk & Caicos Islands, Uruguay, U.S. Virgin Islands, Venezuela, or as identified by the UNF Vice President for Student and International Affairs.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible to receive the LAC Scholarship, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Must be a citizen of one of the countries of Latin America or the Caribbean: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curacao & Bonaire, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Montserrat, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Turk & Caicos Islands, Uruguay, U.S. Virgin Islands, Venezuela, or as identified by the UNF Vice President for Student and International Affairs.
  2. Must be a registered student in good standing at the University of North Florida or a prospective student who has been admitted to UNF. The minimum GPA requirement for both new and continuing LAC scholarship students, whether graduate or undergraduate, shall be set by the sponsoring units, but in no event may a LAC award be made to astudent who is not in good academic standing.
  3. Must be registered for a full-time course load during each term the scholarship isawarded (12 credit hours for undergraduate students and 9 credit hours for graduate students).

 

Application Procedure:

The LAC awards application must include the following:

  1. Application Form (must be completely filled)
  2. A copy of the applicant’s passport page, showing name and country of citizenship
  3. Essay (must be typed) – Please write a three to five-paragraph essay concerning a problem in your home country and how you believe that your academic study and degree will help resolve that problem.
  4. Letter of Recommendation (academic source preferred) The selection committee will not consider incomplete packages.
  5. NOTE: The application form MUST include an e-mail address. This address will be used for all communication with the applicant.
